BB-1 got the blues...
« on: June 06, 2008, 10:52:16 pm »
This is a sweet treat for me. I received in the mail for "refinishing" an incredible BB1 that had never gotten to Bett's wheels even, I probably will never see a piece of milling that beautiful. I began to post the thread in my normal "restoration" forum but caught my self. I will let the owner identify himself. She is not finished. I am twisting the owners arm on a paint fill idea, then she gets a black chrome or blue chrome shaft. She will be 34" overall and I can't imagine how sweet she will roll.
For those of you bi-siting , I copy and pasted it, I'm guilty.
Thanks for all of the support in my endeavors, positive and negative. Please feel free to criticyze if you see the need.

What is there to critic except on the positive side. That is fricking awesome.

Thank you for posting that in here. Did you put the finish on, or is coming to you to be finished? I think it looks great in the pictures.

I have a La Costa head that I've been using as a paperweight and door stopper. Would you have interest in doing something unique with it?

Jimmy , you will probably see this one, it was gifted to someone at the Chicago get together. Sandsave , I'm up for anything. When I recieved this head I was afraid to touch it. Now it's the prettiest thing I ever touched. As long as you are willing to talk to me about what you want, I would love a chance like this turned into.

Thank you guys for supporting my visions. I have had a blast experimenting with ...

The blue finish is amazing!!!  I would kill for a naked Blue BB1 (no sole slot) in 345G!!!  Maybe orange paint to round it out!

Color me blue with envy!

Thanks,
The head weight is 355.5g and I pretty much "begged" the owner to allow me to fill the "B" on the toe and he gave in. I really like what the red did to set it off. It wasn't finished yet when the pics were taken, I was running out of sunshine and wanted to get something snapped.
   I hope it looks "purdy".

Thanks for all feedback,

Morgan, she is super purdy!  Did you pick the red for the paintfill?

As I said , I pretty much "begged" him to let me do it. I may be wrong, but I like it. The owner wanted it black. It was hard for him to see without the head in his hands like I was lucky enough to do.
