Mr. Doug,
Thank you for the review. You captured the memories and special craftmanship that was found in a TP Mills. Good work.

I really loved the high speed video. This was awesome b/c the two-bar(i believe) commercial uses a slow-mo camera to "prove" that no other putter can get the ball rolling right. Doug, did u decrease the loft b/4 the video?

This putter: I put the loft/lie where all my clubs are. Lie=69 Loft=3 Commercials: The main reason that I wanted a camera like this, is so I can take video of every putter we review...as it comes from the manufacturer. I'll have a loft/lie machine of my own in another week or two so I don't have to keep driving to my club to use theirs.

Great review Doug.
I've been to where the Mills used to live in Tuscaloosa, and it was almost inconcievable to think that T.P used to make putters of such quality there in the 60's.

Great review. I seen some names in the other thread for the intials on the putter but it being made in Tuscaloosa and in the 60's have you thought of it being made for Paul (BEAR) Bryant the legendary University of Alabama coach which is in Tuscaloosa. I thought about that because I am from Alabama and a huge Alabama fan. I dont know if he played golf, but it is just a thought

So here's the question -- why doesn't anyone else make putters out of 1024 carbon? I agree, it's "like butta" (sorry Babs).

1020 AND 1030 carbon pose cost issues for mass production, as well as CNC implications because of the decreased lead content of the metal.
the issues that arise are the length of time it takes to mill the heads, as well as the dulling of the cutters.
