Here's a link to the high-speed video of the Puku JME in action.

Wow, where do you start?  The putter from the side view was UGLY! But from the top view, I thought it looked good.   I for one like all the features of it.  That tool  Woot!  there could be a few ambulances called for puncture wounds.

I would like to roll a few with it.

Wow, where do you start?

That's EXACTLY what I thought when I sat down last week to write the review.

John Scharon put it best. "Ok...so there is a LOT going on here."

It's also pretty large compared to other putters. You don't realize it until you put it next to another putter.

Let me get this straight, The Belly version is adjustable from
31 to 48.5 inches?  Does the head weight change for the belly?

I think it's interesting....

Hi there, Daniel Chapman - Puku Golf
Yep, belly putter can adjust in length from 31 to 48.5 (and everything inbetween), head weight doesn't change for belly, same heads are used for regular putter at the moment (420g).  Maybe in near future we'll do adjustable weight kits or just different weight heads etc, we'll let length adjustability become more familiar and see where we go from there.....might get a bit confusing with too much going on otherwise  Smile

Thanks for joining us Daniel.

I think you have a couple of real neat things going on with this putter.

Have you ever thought of making a version that ISN'T adjustable (standard 35" or something) and having a lighter head? (Maybe 350g?)

I love the concept!  Weight adjustability would be great!  But remember, I'm far from the norm when
it comes to putters.  Mr Doug is more in line than I am....

Thanks -

We have thought about it, we believe there are so many advantages to being able to adjust the length - personalized fitting, experimentation with different putting styles, subtle posture changes etc, that it really is a strong part of the brand now - to not offer it would confuse the brand, and not differentiate us from everyone else as much.  Definitely offering different weighted heads is in the pipeline though 350/375 or 400g... who knows?

Picked one up today.  Rolls the ball pretty well.

Putted it at 36" and the adjusted to a belly putter.  Distance control was pretty good after putting for a while, still getting used to the belly putter though.  Will probably take a few more practice rounds to tell if it will stay in the bag or be traded/sold for the next perfect putter.

"Puku is also the Maori word for stomach" (or in this case "belly"?)

I picked up a Puku JME 2 weeks ago off Simon and have been using it ever since.
My first impressions were not good as I putted badly and didn't feel comfortable with the "belly" method of putting.
I watched the DVD Simon supplied with the putter, made some adjustments and tried some different styles.
I extended the putter to different lengths and placed it in various positions on my torso.
I have ended up with the handle about 3 inches to the right of my Belly Button and the ball forward in my stance.
My putting is improving rapidly with this set up and I am finding I am hitting 4 - 6 footers in with confidence.
I am totaly sold on the handle set up.
The head However I feel still needs work.
The weight is good as is the ballance.
The centre ballance system is deffo a winner but the head lacks feel and needs a lining up aid.
For now I have drawn a line on the top edge of the putter and will try this when I play on Saturday.

For anyone wanting to try belly putting this is the best way to do it as you can adjust the length.
I reckon if they get the head right, the next generation of Puku putters will be the ultimate putting system.

Simon was nice enough to send me a couple of these a few weeks ago.  Expect a review on the JME and LCY when I get home Smile
