New shaped putter
« on: March 26, 2007, 06:50:17 am »
Just thought some of you would like to see pictures of my new model. its a blade shaped putter (The Chester) thats been milled from a solid block of low carbon steel. I have machined 10 of these putters and it has been a real labour of love. They have taken months to produce as we have hit stumbling block after stumbling block along the way. The neck is fully machined into the shape you see, unlike scotty napas where he bends it to shape (1600 lines of programming to just shape the neck!!).

Pictures below show raw head

They are for reserving as of now, there are only 10 of these in the 1st production run. They will be posted out in approximately 4 weeks time. These 10 will be priced at £250 gbp each. Considering the time they have took to produce I am making nothing on them. This really is a hobby at present which, hopefully in time, may become a serious business.

Great job!  I've seen a few very good Napa type putters come from new putter makers this year.

My kind of putter!

I agree with the above posters about a shot from address.  You can make a lot of modifications to the 8802, but the offset and look from address is a dealbreaker for me.

The milling looks like a standard over hosel shaft.  Are you going with a .370" over hosel or will they be tapered to accept a flared tip "head speed" style shaft?

Very interesting...I'd also love to see some pics at address.  I like a little more "scooped" flange.  Please keep us updated as to sale date, price, etc!
