Great weight for that putter!  Was just on his site - was trying to find out what my bb1-ms is worth... probably - not much!
Over 50 putters - most in storage in a remote location...

Love it.  I'm really contemplating getting one of these.  Todd is the BEST to deal with.

DASS stands for double aged stainless steel.

Yeah, I got that from Ben's post. ;)

I'm looking for why aged stainless is any different than regular stainless.

Stainless steel can be very crisp.  Double aged stainless steel is stainless steel heated twice to make the metal softer.  So overall double aged stainless steel is softer than stainless steel.  I hope that helps.

Doug, I don't know if you've every signed on to TSG, but there was a great topic about 2 years ago on the subject of GSS and DASS and aging steel.  Really interesting read.

Sorry, I tried to edit the above, but 'The time limit for edits has passed', whatever that is.

To sum up the thread on TSG, basically DASS or GSS is treated twice, which actually makes it harder that typical 303 stainless, but the grain structure is tighter, so it conducts vibration better.  Consequently, the player to like the 'feel' of the putter, although the steel isn't softer.

GSS/DASS isn't much more expensive than 303/304, but since it feels better and is used less often, these putters usually cost more.

Sorry - my drum throne was the softest place to rest this putter on at the time I took the pics. It's not Bachelor Pad sheets or anything =)

303 SS is 303 SS.   No matter what it is.

So maybe that's the end of the debate.  It's heat treated SS that makes it "german".
