The round-necked black ox ming is my favorite right now.  Really nice putter!

I have a gorgeous pencil shaft softtail that weighs 335g coming.

New putters are up by the way...

I like the simplicity as well - just oozes class.  I'm guessing it (the notch) is either a designed item to give it a slightly different look, or a fancy way of cleaning up a weld.
 
The other thing that makes that sweet?  The pencil shaft and ferrule.  That's old school.

it started it's life as a plumbers neck and David cut the hosel off.

He has been doing that a lot lately.
