Neck and Neck
« on: March 10, 2010, 11:12:27 pm »
So, I asked Byron to take my rincon neck DH-89 and change it to a toe hang of 4.  Before and after pics below.  It came out looking very cool.  Nice job, Byron!

Very, very nice.  I love that goose neck look: super unique and very hand made-esque.

Unfortunately, this one I purchased and received in 2009.  Maybe I'll enter it in the 'Best Modified' category?

No kidding. How did he bend it? I'm guessing heat doesn't alter BO finishes like I would have thought?
Putter looks great!

Byron told me he heats up the neck and bends it to achieve the proper toe hang.  It did have to be refinished after that but it was in pretty good shape before, so it may not look like it.

Nice putter.  I'm a huge Rincon fan.  I'd kill for a lefty DH89 w/ Rincon neck.
Byron GS DH89 Rincon, 34"/350g, Blue Oil Flamed, LH.
Byron Custom 006, 34"/350g, Santa Fe style neck, satin finish, LH.
DH9 Mini, 22".
