Bettinardi without sightline
« on: February 08, 2010, 10:45:28 am »
I would love to get myself a nice bettinardi I have been sitting back waiting for the perfect putter to show up but without any luck so far.

I am not looking for anything outrageously rare  BB1,BB8 maybe even a BB0 with a plumbers neck

Sight lines for me are a definite no no and very few seem to come up that are either naked or have a sight dot.

The very occasional ones I have seen come up either have stampings I don't like or have the wrong neck style.

Is it possible to get a custom done or will I have to hope to get lucky and that my dream putter will one day show up.  :(

I am in the UK which I don't think is helping with my options.

I am somewhat new to the Bettinardi world myself.  I am not sure you can get a "custom" putter (I am sure someone can chime in with regards to that), but a good starting spot would be Jimmy Sorce (bettinardiltd.com) or Nick Venson (rjbcollector.com).  They are Bettinardi distributors and are EXTREMELY helpful and informative and great to work with.

Yeah I agree with Steve.  Shoot Jimmy or Nick an email, tell them what exactly you are looking for, and I bet they will find it.  I've told Jimmy a few putters that I was looking for, and he ALWAYS delieved!  Good luck with your search.
They are all Bettinardi

Thanks Nick

These are both the kind of look I am after if the BB0 wasn't a long neck it would be perfect
both are also in my prefered weight range as well.

I have never owned a bettinardi before what are the proportions difference between a bb8 and bb1 / bb0  in-terms of face length and front to back width.

Thanks
