.38 Special
« on: July 23, 2009, 11:19:39 pm »
Hello All,
New to the site and wanted to ask a few questions. I'm sitting on a  .38 Special that was given to me a few years back and looking for some advice! Slightly used with original headcover, in great condition, but it has a Cameron grip on it. Possibly looking to sell but I wanted to know if I could find an original RJB grip to help the value? Any ideas? I know its limited edition #? of 295 but what do you think , HOLD or Sell? I'm a player and not a collector, just yet!!
Thanks in advance!

PSA: No_3Jack may be a very nice guy, but this is a thinly veiled WTS thread from someone who just popped up here.  He probably doesn't realize that we insist that sellers of putters hang around awhile (i.e. have a minimum number of posts) and get to be known a little better before doing business here.

Not to be a jerk Jack, but caveat emptor.

Appreciate your understanding.

I'd say in general a Cameron grip is unlikely to appeal to someone looking for a Betti .38 special.   ::)

BTW, there are a couple of options for selling available to you right now.  PutterSwap.  Free.   Link at the bottom of every page.  Or, list it on Ebay and link to the auction in the Classified section.

Anyway, welcome to PT and good luck,
John

Hey John, Wouldn't the putter burst into flames if that were to happened?

+1 on the welcome.

Check out the Bettinardi website.  They have plenty of  grips there. No 38 Special grips but I'm sure you'll find one you like and that matches.

Here's the link:

I got 100 bucks for you.  If you pull the grip the value would go up. LMAO
