A little something from Bob's personal collection of putters he has designed, manufactured and or milled. His collection is full more putters from different companies than you can imagine. There were Tiger prototypes from 1996 and 1997 and a ton of other cool stuff. This picture is of the Scotty Cameron Mini and a full size Classic 1 from the 1993/94 time period. The Mini is a lot like the current Bettinardi 3/4, blood brothers so to speak.

OK, long time lurker, first time poster here at Puttertalk.  I had the privelege of attending this year's Social and would like to take this opportunity to thank Bob Bettinardi, Nick, Jimmy, Bull, Ben, Glen and all of the guys at Bettinardi Golf.  It was also terrific getting to meet so many of the guys I have seen posting here and putting faces and real names with screen names.

The lack of putter pics in this thread is stunning.  I can't believe it's almost midnight (EST) on the Sunday night after the social, and there's not ONE picture of a full-sized putter in this thread.   :wtf:

Great pics JR! I think Pure745 has some to put up. I'll put pictures of my stuff up as soon as it shows up.

Hats off to everyone at Studio B for putting on such a great event. Also a big thanks to the PutterTalk guys for making me and my dad feel so welcome. It was great to meet everyone, and I hope to do it again next year.

you had to buy a copper putter to get one, and the other was in the freebie bag. (Along with some other stuff I'll let someone else post a pic or two of.)

Will post my thoughts on the event, guys, putters, facility, etc soon!

Everyone knows my past relationship with the T.P. Mills Co.  That relationship took me to Mr. Doug's "Dr. Sago" event, where I met Keith, Jimmy & Nick. Since that event I consider each of those gentlemen a friend.  When my relationship to the T.P. Mills company came to an end, Keith extended an invitation to this year's Bettinardi Social.  It took some convincing to the wife with the newborn at home, but finally she gave in. ;)

The event...

One word describes the social... CLASS.  From the outside cigar lounge with leather sofas, to the food, to the bar, to the gifts (personalized towel, personalized buckle, headcover), etc.

The facility...

Not sure if you all know, but Bettinardi items aren't the only items manufactured at this facility.  Keith stated that these other items require accuracy within a human hair and that they carry this precision/technology to their putters.  Doesn't get much better then that.   The manufacturing floor is extremely impressive and nice to know that everything is done in house...except for finishes.

The fitting lab is fantastic.  Spent a bunch of time up there watching Ben fit people and making adjustments to their Bettinardi's on the spot.  The results were impressive.

The putters...

One word... WOW.  While I was a bit dissapointed there were no JAM's :P , the putters there were absolutely fantastic.  The variety of models, finishes, materials, & engravings were fantastic.  I think we were all like kids in a candy store.  As a relative newbie to Bettinardi putters, I was blown away.

On Saturday, I used one of Jimmy's JAMs.  It was my first 18 hole round with a high end Bettinardi and I really enjoyed it.  It featured the fit face and I'm a fan of this face.  The greens were pretty darn fast and I felt like I had control of the ball on the greens all day.  Made some bombs too...including the longest putt on 18, which happened to be for bird.

I have a flamed DASS JAM with a fit face on the way...very excited.

The guys...

You can't find any better group of guys then Keith, Ben, Jimmy, Nick, Bob, Glenn, etc.  I think they made everyone feel like they were a friend of the company, not just a customer.

Thanks again for everything boys...can't wait to come back

What a great night !!!!  Excellent food, drink and company.  Bob and his staff did an outstanding job hosting a marvelous event.  I bet it was hectic organizing it, but you couldn't tell, at all.  it was great meeting all the Putter Talk folks and putting faces with avatars.

I'll post pictures of the Flamed DASS BB8 I got, as soon as it arrives from the Studio.  Thanks to everyone involved in making it a special night.

As posted above the only time the putters were able to be seen was when you had to be quick and "grab" what you wanted to buy and then the putters were moved to shipping out of the room. Hence, if anyone was standing around taking pictures they would have been shut out from buying any putters they really wanted. Hopefully those that purchased putters will take some photos and post them once they receive them later this week or next week. Everything I purchased or was given (welcome package) was given to be shipped as I had no room in my travel bag for anything other than what I brought with me.

Pete-

Nice pics!  I'm the one in yellow in the first pic... and the picture makes it look like I fell asleep. :D  I assure you, Doug is a lot of fun to talk with and I didn't pass out while doing so!  Clearly I'm just deeply enjoying one of the many cigars that were being distributed.

That BB8 is amazing that you ended up getting.  The micro with the black prism looked gorgeous in person on that piece.  Can't wait to see pictures from everyone else from the event!

For sale were copper and aluminum brown divot and ballmarkers.....

I should have some putters listed tonight that made it through the weekend. Out of 198 putters made for the show, we sold nearly 150! It was a great show and there were some unreal putters, pics to come shortly

The photos in the post I linked to (Doug's post) were not taken at the Social. Those photos are from Doug's office. Look at all the putters! He has a putting green in there too. He putts while he talks on the phone which means he putts for 6 to 8 hours a day.  lol
