What's the story on the swoosh putter?

Any chance of getting one of those towels? Or just a bettinardi towel like that one in the future? That'd be sweet.

And those koolaid covers are just too cool for words. Would definitely love to have one of those. Were those 1 of 15 for each color like last year?

Tony's putter, see above, has a bunch of different hex stamps on the sole and inside each stamp is 3/4.

Not stamps but milled engravings via CNC machine.

Both of the putters in my post are Tony's.. he and Paul came up on some SWEET 3/4's!

Didn't get too many other pics of everyone elses putters.. but I wish I had.. Wil's 44 Mag w/ soundslot was up there in the ridiculously sick category.

They didn't really get into detail with the new line. The normal OTR putters definitely look like carbon. The special country club edition ones could be DASS. I didn't really ask Keith many questions about the new line.

Normal OTR are carbon with a matte black nickel plating and feature very very clean engravings.

that finish on tony's putter= sick. Not even fair. It has like a "sunrise" look. Tai and I were drooling over it on Sunday on the course.

I do have to say that I was shocked at the shortage of DASS and absence of FIT face at the Studio on Friday. I feel it is safe to say that my sentiments on the former were agreed with. As to the latter, I just happen to be a big fan of the FIT face milling. I just think it feels unreal and smooth as butter on the greens.

That being said, I think there were a lot of gorgeous pieces there. I think the most interesting thing will be to see how some of the custom work turns out.

This year's invitees were able to purchase a custom putter if they wanted.

Any head, milling, finish, engravings, ect. In Carbon or DASS.

They'll have a special "Custom Creation" (or something like that) engraving that will tell people that it wasn't a studio original, and made by request from someone.

Just a test at this point, I'm sure if the pilot program is successful, they'll do more of them in the future.

Custom Putters:

First time availability to have a carbon or DASS putter made to order. There were some limitations including but not limited to: no 3/4 head shapes, no nano engraving, no special features taken from past limited editions like the spider web face on the Dream Weaver series, no stamped site dots (I think), and a few other limitations. You could have made any model putter RJB has ever made, any neck, custom top line (flat, rolled, etc.) engravings, plugs, etc.

Prices were about double what a standard carbon or DASS putter would have been.

You had to make the commitment and pay 50% down that night. Not the next day or a week later, only available that night and you could work on your design later. Turn around time was I think about 2 months.

The card said 159 but was actually well over 200. First hole, 3 shots into the water, drop into the water, drop into the water, drop into the water. We said drop on the other side, chip over the green, chip back over the green, chip onto the green and two or three putts and called it a ten. It didn't get much better after that either. Thankfully Bob was buying the sport pops.
